Alfred Sirleaf is a man with a chalk board which he calls Daily Talk. Since 2000 in the Liberian capitol of Monrovia, he has been curating Daily Talk since 2000. Right in the middle of a second civil war.
This is how journalism starts. In a country where the majority of the people don’t have internet access or even money for the paper, people are hungry for news as the country struggles to pull itself up from several hellish wars, and put the pieces back together. This is why language and communication is so important. We so often take it for granted.
